Step into Music course announced for Portadown

We are pleased to announce the launch of our Steps Into Music programme in the Portadown area, as part of the Steps to Work initiative in conjunction with the Department for Employment and Learning.

Based on the success of our previous courses in Bangor and Omagh, we will be launching a third course in September 2011, aimed at providing unemployed musicians, sound engineers and producers in the North Armagh region a complete introduction into the music industry.

Throughout our 20-week programme, our team of industry professionals will guide you through everything from creating, recording and producing music using state of the art equipment, to giving essential help in finding employment and promoting oneself within the media industry.

Following the completion of the course, each participant will undertake a work placement of at least eight weeks. With a range of contacts within many industries from music to entertainment, we will match each of our students with a work placement according to their best interests and their individual skills.

If you are eligible for Steps To Work and are interested in finding out more, contact your Employment Service Advisor at your local Job Centre.
